  • My fiance purchased an 05' Honda Pilot in January of this year and it has been non-stop issues since literally the first day. We made it very clear that we needed a safe vehicle for our 4 children.The day after we got it home the catalytic converter was literally hanging off. Which started the first of many trips to both their mechanic and other mechanics. I'm trying to make this as short as possible, so I will just say that there is not one day that goes by that my fiance doesn't regret purchasing this truck. He has put out well over $4k out of pocket on repairs. We've had to replace all 4 tires, transmission flush, new alternator & battery, new brakes all around, control arms etc, etc.. all of this within the first 6 months of owning the truck. A well respected mechanic near us looked over the truck in the first few weeks we owned it and told us that he could not believe that the truck was sold to us in that condition. He quoted us $4k just to get the truck safe. We were sold a vehicle that had no business being sold in the condition it was in, and we have no doubt that the dealership knew that. We were made to pay for 90% of the repairs out of pocket. We are very patient and understanding people, we understand that with an older vehicle things will go wrong, but most of these issues were there before the truck was sold to us. We are good, honest, hardworking people and we feel taken advantage of and are now stuck with a vehicle that still needs thousands in repairs and has a new problem popping up seemingly every month, and we haven't even had it a full year yet.
