  • To start, we can all agree buying a used car is a complete joke of an experience. You don't know if you can trust the dealership or the person selling the car. You don't know if you're actually getting a good deal or just straight up getting something that's going to fail. This is real money, a real loan that doesn't care if you made a bad decision. Now that we are all on the same page, Mike at Ratchet is 1500 miles away from me. I had an idea of a car but didn't know if I could trust it being sight unseen. Cruising through the listing's on autotrader I found Ratchet. I called Mike and he was knowledgeable, to the point, didn't push, answered all questions, was transparent with the flaws, sent me videos, pictures, answered my texts immediately, and never missed a call. I didn't feel like oh man he's hiding something. I'm screwed. He told me the truth, not what I wanted to hear and was realistic with the price for both him and me. Car arrived and I fired it up and this lexus isf is exactly how he described it but even better. I even called him right away to tell him about it with a huge smile on my face. The shipping company i setup came right at 6pm on a Friday night when Mike was supposed to close, even though they said they'd come in the morning. He stayed the 1 hr extra to make sure everything was good. Title and everything was mailed 2 day ship. This Mike guy doesn't miss. If you want a used car, I think it'll take you awhile to find a dealership that even comes close to Ratchet. 1500 miles sight unseen is a huge gamble and Mike came through big time! Hope this helps anyone trying to have an enjoyable car buying experience in these crazy and uncertain times
