  • I try to review everyone I do business with. I just bought a truck from them. All in all Im happy and i'd rate them right in the middle 2.5 stars. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The truck is a former state fire vehicle.(Pick up truck) I know with vehicles like this there are bound to be some smaller issues. But being a mechanic I'm willing to take that risk as it's more or less a fixer upper. The only thing I was displeased about was they require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit to hold anything. I had a four hour ride to get to the dealership so I gave them the deposit. But before doing so I asked if there were any lights on the dash I indicating any issues. I was told no and that quote "It's a very good truck". After getting there the first thing I noticed is check air filter warning on the dash. Then right after putting it in drive to test-drive it the check engine light came on. I had a scanner with me so I checked it and it was a turbo under boost code. A lot of things can cause this. But the worst thing would be a turbo. I checked when the codes were last cleared and it was very recent. I wouldn't say they tried to hide it by clearing the code but somebody may have cleared it before they got their hands on it. Heck someone could have just disconnected the batteries, either way it was there. I was willing to take the risk anyway and asked if they could work with with me on price. They said the price was firm even considering this. I at least I think they should have offered the deposit back considering I asked if there were any warning lights before giving the deposit. All In all I'm happy with the truck, turns out the air filter needed replacement and the air filter sensor was broken (this is was cause the "check air filter warning") so not a big deal. However the truck did get death wobble on the way home. I'm sure they didn't know that was an issue either, but I'm sure I'll sort it out. I wouldn't say to not buy a vehicle from them. I'd just say make sure it's checked out by a mechanic first. But this is probably true with any "as is warranty" lot. I'm sure they would probably agree.
