  • I am located in the Mid-City section of San Diego, adjacent to the Normal Heights neighbourhood. A couple of weeks back I received a bright colorful flyer on my front steps informing me of an upcoming event. The event in question was to be the Grand Opening of a used car dealership which was featuring a co-event presented by an animal rescue organization and dog adoption group. Okay, well this was just unusual enough for me to give it a thought. Come the weekend I decided to go see what all the fuss was about. What I encountered was, in fact, a true wonder as well as a most pleasant surprise!. The car lot was a festive mix of cool cars and several booths devoted to dogs and things that go with dogs. Upbeat club type music was playing as a barbecue was fired up with burgers and franks…who knew? The business office was a converted shipping container that had been transformed inside and out - unbelievable and so environmentally conscious. The energetic proprietor, Chris Steffey was on deck sharing the vibe, which was a real departure from what one might expect from a used car lot on El Cajon Blvd. I found myself actually contemplating a couple of the shiny cars, and Chris said he features several in house financing options. The whole place was a little mind boggling, but in a good way, and I have since scheduled an appointment to take a closer look at some of those “options” from the InstaCars financing program. Even though I haven’t selected a car just yet, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. I will however, go ahead and endorse this business with a conscious and a new approach to selling used cars.
