  • Purchased a Carquest remanufactured alternator through their ebay store. Price was competitive, quickly shipped. Unit on initial install had a defective thread insert, making installation difficult, but we continued as half the work was already completed. Unit worked for 30 days then failed. We reported the issue immediately, but were told it was beyond the return date. Unit was purchased on Feb 9, delivered Feb 17, installed on February 23. Failure happened March 23. Their response on ebay was "Let me forward this to management, as it's past the return deadline." No further response. When I requested a return through ebay, it was flatly denied. After removal of the defective unit, we found the power connection had been arcing, which not only caused a failure in the truck but also damaged the blower motor and the climate controls. It could have caught the entire truck on fire. Fortunately, all we have to replace now is the blower motor and the climate control module rather than the entire vehicle. Our issue with Swift is not the defective product, things happen beyond the control of a retailer, but the summary dismissal of our complaint. This is not the way to treat customers. Buy from Swift Auto Parts with caution.

  • Thought I hot s good deal, 1 mos later the part FAILED. Called gentlemen to do an exchange, was told he'd call me back in 15 mins ! That was 5 hrs ago !!@ I DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!
