  Friendly staff. We went for a Kodak Charmera since Amazon is taking over a week to ship them out and for the same price we found this Camera store near us! Anyway, after seeing my cool new camera... Lil dude wanted his own camera so we had to go back and buy a 2nd one 😅 they close at 6pm and it was already 5:40pm so we called and they were willing to wait for us to get there! We got there at 5:55pm 😅 but they seemed happy to help us!

  I recently purchased an Insta360 X5 bundle from Downey Camera using their SNAP financing option. The bundle was already priced about $60 higher than what I found from most other retailers, but I was willing to pay the premium because SNAP offered 100 days to pay it off interest-free. What was disappointing was the additional $59.99 standard shipping charge. This was not expedited shipping—just regular shipping. After placing my order, I requested tracking information once it shipped. After hearing nothing for a couple of days, I contacted Downey Camera for an update. At that point, I was informed that they had sold their last unit and were waiting on a new shipment to arrive. In other words, the item I purchased was not actually in stock when the order was placed. I was told that if a shipment arrived before FedEx pickup on Saturday, my order would go out then; otherwise, I would need to wait several more days before it even shipped. Charging nearly $60 for standard shipping while not having the item available for immediate shipment was frustrating. Between the higher product price, the shipping charge, and the unexpected delay, I decided to cancel my order. I ultimately purchased a similar bundle from another SNAP-approved retailer for about $50 less, with free shipping and no inventory issues. My experience may not be everyone’s, but I was disappointed by the lack of inventory transparency and the shipping costs relative to the service provided. I was also disappointed at the lack of communication and poor customer service.
