Shopping for my daughters first vehicle, we were lucky enough to find ourselves at AutoNation USA, and were treated with five star service from the moment we walked onto the lot until we left with her new Bronco Sport. Thank you Yousef our salesman, and both Ethan and Chris our finance specialists! Lastly thank you AutoNation for the great deal, service and experience. Highly recommend!!
I expect issues in an old car like leaky door seals and funky window motors. However the car should be mechanically sound; but driving home three dash lights came on: Check engine light /vsc off/vsc trac I stopped by O'Reilly and the obd reader says: Cats need replaced/ Cat is clogged with materials Due to these concerns, I paid $150 to have it inspected by an outside mechanic. They confirmed that not only was there a problem with the catalytic converter, but that the other one is probably on its way out as well. In addition, the lower control arms need to be replaced, the transfer case leaks and it's low on transmission fluid, it needs a new rear main seal and the shocks and struts are completely blown out. It was estimated around $5000 labor and materials. The Autonation Colorad Springs 50 point inspection should have caught these problems. Before i bought the car and Before i left with it, I was told I'd be given a copy of the inspection results. I asked a second time and still wasn't given them. I had no reason to think they would lie to me about the inspection or that their inspection wouldn't catch the problems. The hood (AND roof) have epoxy on them and hood was supposed to be repainted. The salesman didn't do what he said when I bought the car Thursday, and get the hood painted (roof has epoxy and needs it too), and pushed me to pick up car asap Friday,(no doubt so he could get Nov. commission because it's the 28th.) He couldn't tell me at Sat pickup when it could be painted, even though I asked Wed during test drive and Sat at pickup. Instead of schedulung painting the hood and just taking their time, he gave me the car so wet that I had to ask for a rag to mop dripping condensation from the windows; he sent the towel with me because it built up so fast. The windows were fogging while we drove home and when I stopped for groceries it fogged up so thick the condensation froze, and I had to wait 30 min for it to be melted enough to be able to see, and had to buy rv moisture pack. He tried to send us off with just key and no plates or registration. He was way more interested in getting hold of my trade than getting me my car. There was only 1 key and fob despite the Toyota dealership 16 feet from their property. We were sent with an almost completely empty gas tank. This all started my 5 day 250 mile warranty. The salesman was supposed to call me today, Monday, to get me on the schedule to get the hood painted, but he didn't. When I called and asked to talk to a manager no one was available. Just got a call back today 12/2 and the general manager just said "The deal's off. Bring the car back and we'll give you back your trade. It will be interesting to see how that is going to work since the transfer of titles has already occurred. This will no doubt make it so that I am unable to purchase a car anytime soon since I'll be having to get a new title for my vehicle. If only the 50 point inspection had caught these issues and everything hadn't been done in such a rush, things would have been a lot easier.
Highly recommend AutoNation! Cameron helped us right away in a way that felt authentic. He made the entire experience easy and enjoyable by being personable yet professional. We spent hours there and it didn’t feel like it! Jason was also very friendly and knowledgeable. We really appreciated that they weren’t pushy and didn’t sneak in hidden fees like many other dealerships do. They were refreshingly transparent, and you can tell they both very much believe in the company. Fun fact AutoNation donates a ton to cancer charities!
