  • The Good: I bought a vehicle online, and traveled here from ver far away to get it. The negotiation process was simple. I asked for and received pictures beyond what was on the website. Everyone I spoke with (I won’t name names, you’ll see why in a minute) was great. Super friendly. I think had I bought newer, my experience would have been better. The Bad: When I showed up, I had questions about something it clearly showed on the Carfax they had done. It said they replaced the spare tire carrier, but there it still laid in the back of the vehicle. The salesperson said she was pretty sure they had replaced it, but it also suddenly had a check engine light on that was not there in the photos they had sent. She took it into service to verify both things. Claimed they were fixed. I got down the road and realized I had forgotten to check the spare situation. It’s still laying in the back of the vehicle, but again, I was assured it was fixed, so I thought I’d just take care of it when I get home. I went to put it back on this morning, and sure enough… they did not actually replace it as I was told. It’s just a broken chain. I will take some of the blame for that, as I trusted, but did not verify. But how the heck you gonna report to Carfax that you did something that was not actually taken care of?!?! The car I bought is old, and I knew it would need some work, but I did not expect to have to do things the dealership already claimed to have done. Edit: to add pictures of the carrier lift. There is also a picture of my jack, which appears to be broken. Thank god I didn’t have a blow out on the highway driving the 800 miles back home.
