1 star is too much for this disgusting company! From start to finish, this has been the most frustrating and unprofessional rental experiences I’ve ever had. To begin with, the car was in atrocious condition. The interior was filthy, and the smell was unbearable, to the point of making us sick. It’s beyond disappointing that a rental company would send out a car in such a poor state without any acknowledgment or apology. On top of that, three tires were low on pressure, clearly indicating that basic maintenance had been neglected. The documentation process was equally disorganized. Despite the initial booking stating "unlimited mileage," once the car was rented, this condition suddenly changed without any clear explanation. The discrepancies were not addressed, and the company made no effort to honor the terms originally presented. To make matters worse, I uploaded proof of insurance and liability coverage prior to traveling to Phoenix, as it was a required step before finalizing the booking, per the instructions. However, upon arrival at the airport, Carzi somehow claimed they didn’t have it on file and demanded that I purchase their questionable daily liability coverage. It was clear that this was just a ploy to push additional charges, a common tactic in the car rental industry that I can only describe as a scam. As if the condition of the car and the shady insurance practices weren't bad enough, after returning the vehicle, I was shocked to find that Carzi had deducted nearly $300 from my account for "excess mileage." This fee came despite the misleading "unlimited mileage" claim made during the booking process. I had to fight to get any acknowledgment of the issues, and they completely ignored my documented evidence—photos and videos—proving the car’s condition. I now realize that I made the mistake of booking without properly researching the company. I am not the only one who has faced these issues, as there are numerous complaints online about similar experiences with Carzi. I should have taken the time to read the reviews before booking, rather than being enticed by the cheap price. Had I done so, I would have realized that the price was misleading, and renting from a recognized company would have been more cost-effective in the long run. The entire experience left me feeling abused and taken advantage of. I rented the cheapest car for four days with the expectation of paying under $100, yet I was charged almost $500 for a car that was in unsatisfactory condition and a customer service experience that was nothing short of a joke. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering Carzi to look elsewhere. Their lack of transparency, poor vehicle maintenance, and unscrupulous practices make them a company to avoid at all costs. This was, without a doubt, the worst rental experience I’ve ever had!!!
My experience started out very good and I was pretty impressed at how they had planned everything without needing any human support to pick up the car get the keys and be on my way. Everything is good until something goes wrong! When I tried to return the car the pass card they had given me to get me into the parking garage wasn’t working. I tried calling the phone number and there was no one answering the phones. I tried texting the person who had texted me when I arrived, and they kept pasting repeatedly, the same instructions for delivery, which told me to take the car to my spot and leave it there. I explained to them that I can’t get to my spot because I can’t get through the gates and they just kept repeating the same instructions cut/paste five times in a row. I sent photos showing the key card “invalid error” and they cut/paste the return instructions a bunch more times. The customer service was rude and not helpful. They then said that I was a few minutes late to return my car so that’s why the key card no longer worked. So then I asked them. How can I get back into the garage to return the car at any time? By the way I’ve been trying for 20 minutes. And they had no actions or resolutions for me And just posted the same return instructions repeatedly in our chat. I didn’t know what to do so I waited for another car to go into the garage and I tailgated them and followed them in and left the car in the garage. The customer service never did anything to give me any solutions on how I should return the car if I can’t get into the garage. Also, there were signs in the garage telling us that the outdoor lot was full so we should put the car on the roof but on the roof there were no designated spots where we should leave the car so I just left it randomly and I hope I don’t get in trouble for that Very Very rude very confusing and time consuming return. I think I used Priceline to book this so I won’t be using Priceline for fear that they assign me csrzi again.
WARNING-DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY!!!!!! ****** SCAM ALERT****** This is by far the worst car rental place EVER!!!!!!!!! We did a car rental off of Priceline, we arrived at the airport in Arizona and I immediately got a text from the car rental company saying that I had to check in right away for my car rental or chance losing my rental. They sent a text with a link to pre register. So now I’m feeling really rushed and we had just landed. When you fill out the pre arrival information from the link it makes you sign everything before they give you any legal paperwork to read. They asked for a 400 dollar deposit and not remembering you can’t use a debit card for a deposit I entered my card information and was surprised it didn’t say anything other then “Here is your receipt! Thank you! This is where everything went wrong, Right before we arrived by shuttle to the car rental office to pick up our car I received a text stating that I had to pay $30 dollars/day x 6 days we would be renting the car extra when I arrived before we could take the car. I told them to just refund the deposit and I will pay by credit card. They told me that they couldn’t do that and we would loose our rental and good luck finding something else. We would not be refunded the 6 days rental we already paid. So now I would forfeit the money for the rental, the rental, still had a $400 dollar hold on my card and I would have to pay for another 6 days rental and another $400 dollar hold on my credit card. They have you and you can’t do anything unless they get there money, and for what? The biggest scam ever! So we ended up paying an extra $150 dollars because we paid the deposit with real money( debit card) not fake money ( credit card) and now we got another charge for an extra driver when we didn’t have an extra driver! That was another $50 dollars!!!! Please do not get scammed by this company and read the reviews! I WISH I WOULD HAVE!!!
