  • HORRIBLE experience, I’m extremely disappointed with how this company handled my situation, and I genuinely do not understand how they even have 3.5 stars. During/after a birthday trip to Phoenix, Carzi overcharged us by over $300 (taken out of our deposit) and attempted to send an invoice for over $500. Despite our original contract stating that we had unlimited mileage and after the sales associate never disclosed any other details upon arrival (and telling us that he can add the second driver in for free), they sent us an email stating that they're owed an extra $500 for the "extra fees" on top of the original almost $300 original price and that it was indisputable. Although we attempted to resolve it directly with the company and reached out multiple times for clarification and a refund, after some initial communication, they stopped responding entirely. Extremely unprofessional, and a clear lack of customer service. The only “resolution” I ever received was a partial credit from my credit card company, not from the business itself. The company never issued a refund, never provided a clear explanation, and never followed up once it became clear they wouldn’t be financially responsible. This went on for almost 3 months. I later found out their BBB rating is an F, which unfortunately aligns with my experience. If something goes wrong, don’t expect responsiveness or fair handling. The "bait and switching" tactic that other reviewers mentioned is 100% accurate. We chose this company because we thought it was more cost-efficient, but it ended up costing us over 2x what we would have paid if we went with a more reputable company. Please learn from our mistake, do NOT book a rental car with them!!! It's not worth it, they're a horrible company and a total scam.

  • Terrible. It was the worst part of our trip - hands down. The directions were non-existent. You go to the rental car section, right? Wrong. After taking the tram all the way to the rental area we find out we have to go to a random stop in one of the terminals to get on a sketchy and dirty tram, the driver of which has no idea what's going on, and just hope we get off at the right spot. Then finally find the right place (after an HOUR of searching while toting our 3yo and 7mo with us) and end up waiting an eternity. No signage. No directions. No clarity. Then the car is dirty and all dinged up to the point where I'm concerned about drivability. I turn on the car and it runs ROUGH. It was terrible.

  • I felt like they are a really tricky/scammy car rental company. We rented a car through Expedia. Expedia told us that we were getting a car through economy. Then we get an email from economy saying they will be using a sister site called Carzi. Carzi has no workers, and it’s all contactless. Ok so we worked with it and signed everything online thinking it was a standard rental agreement. My husband then goes and travels to deliver Christmas gifts for work, and puts a bunch of miles on it. We’re thinking we just save our own car a bunch of miles, and got a good deal. Today we got our large bill. Apparently you only get 100 miles a day, then they charge you for mileage. I checked back with Expedia, and in the section where miles should be it says unavailable. I feel like it was super unethical to switch companies, have no place in the 3rd party website warning about mileage, and then just sliding the mileage into the contract as people are trying to get going on their way for their trip without an employee to go over contract with them.
