  • 1 star is too much for this disgusting company! From start to finish, this has been the most frustrating and unprofessional rental experiences I’ve ever had. To begin with, the car was in atrocious condition. The interior was filthy, and the smell was unbearable, to the point of making us sick. It’s beyond disappointing that a rental company would send out a car in such a poor state without any acknowledgment or apology. On top of that, three tires were low on pressure, clearly indicating that basic maintenance had been neglected. The documentation process was equally disorganized. Despite the initial booking stating "unlimited mileage," once the car was rented, this condition suddenly changed without any clear explanation. The discrepancies were not addressed, and the company made no effort to honor the terms originally presented. To make matters worse, I uploaded proof of insurance and liability coverage prior to traveling to Phoenix, as it was a required step before finalizing the booking, per the instructions. However, upon arrival at the airport, Carzi somehow claimed they didn’t have it on file and demanded that I purchase their questionable daily liability coverage. It was clear that this was just a ploy to push additional charges, a common tactic in the car rental industry that I can only describe as a scam. As if the condition of the car and the shady insurance practices weren't bad enough, after returning the vehicle, I was shocked to find that Carzi had deducted nearly $300 from my account for "excess mileage." This fee came despite the misleading "unlimited mileage" claim made during the booking process. I had to fight to get any acknowledgment of the issues, and they completely ignored my documented evidence—photos and videos—proving the car’s condition. I now realize that I made the mistake of booking without properly researching the company. I am not the only one who has faced these issues, as there are numerous complaints online about similar experiences with Carzi. I should have taken the time to read the reviews before booking, rather than being enticed by the cheap price. Had I done so, I would have realized that the price was misleading, and renting from a recognized company would have been more cost-effective in the long run. The entire experience left me feeling abused and taken advantage of. I rented the cheapest car for four days with the expectation of paying under $100, yet I was charged almost $500 for a car that was in unsatisfactory condition and a customer service experience that was nothing short of a joke. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering Carzi to look elsewhere. Their lack of transparency, poor vehicle maintenance, and unscrupulous practices make them a company to avoid at all costs. This was, without a doubt, the worst rental experience I’ve ever had!!!

  • If I could give this business less than 1 star I would. The car we had was 2005 Honda (not what we paid for). The seats had covers because there were so many stains on the seat. One of the back tire covers were falling off. It was 115 degrees and the car didn’t have air conditioning that could handle that heat. The customer service was some of the worst I ever had. Please save yourself and use a different company

  • The WORST rental car experience I have ever had. It's basically a scam. Not located with the other reputable rental car places, but in a shady parking garage you have to walk to with all your luggage. I made this reservation for my wife who was on a trip with our 14Yr old daughter. I had to help them navigate all this by phone from home. It took them 2 hours to try to find get to this place. Hard to find and no counter. Thankfully there was a gate guard who showed us a peice of paper taped to a wall with a QR code. After going through thier clunky online checkout process, and taking a $400 deposit (what rental car company takes a $400 deposit!?!?) They finally gave my wife insturctions on which car and how to get the keys. The car was dirty, there was a pillow in the back and empty alcohol bottles/cans under the seat. Seriously? The tire was low and she had to stop in the desert to fill it up. Not OK - a rental car company should make sure all this is taken car of. When trying to return the car, there was no instructions, no person there to help. Nothing but a text 14 min before the return was due saying that "Your return is due at 3:00pm. There is no grace period." If we are late, they will charge us. UGH! We rented through Priceline and Economy Rental Car who sold our reservation to this 'company' unbeknowst to us. Now, I can't get my $400 deposit back from these people. Stay away!-
