  • I took my 2017 Honda Civic to AutoNation Honda Thornton Road and left feeling completely taken advantage of. They charged me about $480 to reprogram the transmission, said the programming was successful, but the car still had the same problem. Then they told me the PCM might be bad and wanted to charge another $400+ for more diagnostics. By that point, I had paid almost $900, and the car still wasn’t fixed. The service rep, David, kept saying things like “be ready for more repairs” and “this is only the first step,” which made it clear they were grooming me to spend more and more with no end in sight. It felt like they had no real plan — just excuses to keep the meter running. Most of what they did was plug the car into a computer and charge hundreds per hour for it. When I asked if they could at least apply the first diagnostic fee toward the repair, they refused. David even blamed a “shadetree mechanic,” which wasn’t true and came off arrogant and unprofessional. After all that, David quit shortly after handling my case. I ended up buying a PCM myself for $220 and took the car to Far East MotorWorks in Chamblee, where they reprogrammed everything correctly using proper Honda tools — all at a fair price. This whole experience was exhausting and felt like a money trap. I wouldn’t recommend this service department to anyone.

  • Although I didn’t purchase my vehicle from them, they honored my warranty without issue and completed an oil change and tire rotation seamlessly. The facility appears newly built, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. When I mentioned that I was about to take a cross-country trip and asked whether the vehicle was ready, they walked me through everything they had already inspected as part of their standard process. It was clear no additional checks were necessary.

  • I’d like to give AutoNation a huge thank you! I bought my car mid September and 3 weeks later the transmission went out. After talking to the GSM. John the GSM had my car towed to their location. After confirming the transmission was messed up. AutoNation covered all cost. John and the service manager Lindsey were great to work with. They gave me a loaner vehicle to make sure my day to day life wasn’t interfered. Thank you AutoNation for a great job!
