Fantastic! A bought a great pre-owned vehicle at a great price from out of state (TN) - and did the whole thing long-distance with Muhammad. From the 1st step through the last he was responsive, transparent, friendly, and helpful. He went above and beyond in every way; even arranged the shipping for me and I got the best price there also for quick & safe delivery directly to my house. I LOVE my car, and couldn’t be happier and more impressed with Thunderbird Autos!! Use them. 😊👍🙏⭐️
So far so good! I just purchased my car yesterday. The ppl were nice. I didn’t have to wait and watch to be acknowledged. They greeted me immediately. They let me keep my old car there and said I could come back out they would deliver it. Fast process. I’ll keep you posted after three months with the car!!
500-Mile Mistake: A Warning for Out-of-Town Buyers. I am sharing this experience as a warning to anyone considering a purchase from Thunderbird Autos. I hope this serves as a teachable moment for others: never trust a dealer's "word" over your own eyes and independent research. I coordinated a trip from Odessa to Houston—an 8-hour journey—specifically to purchase a 2019 Toyota Corolla. To make this happen, I took a day of PTO and committed to a one-way rental car, fully expecting the vehicle to be as described. It was not. The Evidence of Deception: • Conflicting Documentation: My CARFAX showed the car as Blue; the dealer’s snapshot said Black Sand. In person, the car was Falcon Grey. Discrepancies in a vehicle's recorded color are a massive red flag for major, unreported body work. • Mismatched Condition: The photos sent to me were clearly not current. While I was told there was only a "small dent," the reality was extensive, aged damage. The driver-side fender showed amateur-level body work with visible paint runs and Bondo filler under the paint. • Structural Safety Concerns: The fender gaps were so large I could see the plastic components behind them. Most concerningly, the interior carpet had been replaced with jet-black carpet, which completely blocked access to the floor VIN slot. Replacing carpet is a common tactic used to hide flood damage or VIN tampering. The Experience: When I presented these objective facts, the salesman, Muhammad, and another staff member chose to insult and gaslight me. They literally told me that what I was seeing with my own eyes wasn't there. This is a staggering lack of professionalism, especially considering the time and logistical effort I made to get there. The Resolution: The only reason this didn't escalate further was an elderly employee who saw the situation for what it was. Once I produced my own paid version of the CARFAX (which showed the true history of the vehicle), he returned my deposit without resistance. The Professional Cost: Because of their dishonesty, I am out the cost of a one-way rental, a full day of wasted PTO, and the expense of an 8-hour trip for a car that was a liability, not an asset. Look at the attached screenshot of my conversation with Muhammad. He claimed to be a "man of his word" and promised I would leave "without any complains." The reality was the exact opposite. Verify everything yourself, pay for your own CARFAX, and if you’re coming from out of town, do not trust this dealership.
