  1 star not for service but price. Service is good but work is over priced. Fail nj dmv inspection brought report with trouble code. Charged 150 dollar for diagnosis which I understand if I didnt do the work with then they didnt tell me diagnosis would be charged whether work was done here or elsewhere. I think its pretty customary if you do the work there places waive the diagnosis fee. Charged 300 dollars for mass air flow sensor. Charged 250 for labor for installing the sensor. 700 dollars for mass air flow sensor I wouldn't have mind as much but would not waive the diagnosis fee. Will not use again they were recommended by another mechanic who thought I might need a smoke test.

  i went here about a year ago for help with an evap code that should’ve been an easy fix my car is picky and threw a catalytic code with it and they told me there was nothing they could do because they don’t do cats but i was not asking for help with the catalytic converter cause there IS NOT anything wrong with it. i tried to explain that since the systems are connected it could throw a cat code and not be a singular thing and regardless id need the part replaced and they told me it was two different parts of the engine that wouldn’t affect each other. i got whatever it was replaced by a cousin instead and big shock the cat code went away. they kept my car for over a week telling me that they couldn’t do a smoke test because their system doesn’t like Subarus as if you NEED the system for a smoke test and why even take me in the first place if you know you are incapable of helping me?? for more complicated things you could need to use other diagnostic tools but a smoke test is a SMOKE TEST and they didn’t explain anything they were doing and that i “needed” a more complicated test (i didn’t) and they just wanted to act superior. WHY keep my car for all that time and inconvenience the hell out of me? their doubt honestly felt like it came from a place of misogyny because i walked in myself as a young woman and i was told that everything i said was right when my cousin fixed my car. additionally, my uncle took his car here for what i believe was new brakes and he drove away with extremely loose lug nuts they seem to have not a clue what they’re doing. if your lucky, you’ll have your time wasted like me, and if not you’ll drive away with loose lug nuts and risk having your wheel come off your car while driving.
