  I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel obligated to share it. I brought in my grandfather’s Rado watch because the crown no longer adjusts the time. The watch itself is not particularly valuable from a monetary standpoint, but it has significant sentimental value to me because it belonged to my grandfather. I was simply looking for guidance on whether it could be repaired or, if not, where I could take it to have the issue addressed. I fully understand that not every watch shop performs every type of repair. Businesses have specialties, limitations, and different levels of service they offer. If I had simply been told that the watch was outside the scope of their work and then pointed in the right direction, I would have left completely satisfied. Instead, I was met with what felt like a dismissive and unfriendly attitude throughout the interaction. When I asked if they could recommend another shop that might be able to help, I was told to “Google somewhere else.” It wasn’t just the answer itself that was disappointing, but the way it was delivered. The response came across as rude and unhelpful, as though my questions were an inconvenience. I explained that I had already Googled watch repair services, which is how I found this business in the first place. Given that watch repair is literally part of the business name, I thought it was a reasonable question to ask. What surprised me most was the complete lack of effort to assist. I wasn’t asking for free labor, technical advice, or anything unreasonable. I was simply hoping that a business in the watch and jewelry repair industry might know of another local watchmaker or repair specialist who could help. In many service industries, even when a business can’t provide a service, they will often take a moment to point a customer in the right direction. That kind of professionalism and courtesy goes a long way. At the end of the day, my disappointment has nothing to do with whether my watch could be repaired there. It has everything to do with how I was treated as a customer. Customer service matters, especially when someone walks in with a family heirloom and is simply looking for help. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop and would encourage others to look elsewhere if they value friendly, respectful, and helpful customer service.

  After being told that all my gold jewelry wasn’t real, I decided to go to Michael’s Watch & Jewelry shop for a second opinion. Only to be told all of it was real!!!! Michael made me an honest & great offer!!! So remember people when visiting any pawn shop, you better check with Michael’s first!!!!
