  I purchased a 2017 Ford Focus RS (salvage title) from Owen Auto Sales in February 2025 with around 12,500 miles, and I’ve now driven it to over 41,000 miles. This is a long-term ownership review. The biggest positive is the car itself. Mechanically, the engine and drivetrain have been solid with no major failures despite daily driving and heavy mileage accumulation. The car also came equipped with several Mountune upgrades like intercooler, charge pipes, intake, motor mount, PTU brace, lowering springs, and upgraded wastegate actuator. This in itself is the only reason I wanted this car and as a byproduct during the test drive, I did not inspect the right quality as much as I should have therefore paying the price. Overall, Nicholas pulled off a respectable build rating: 7/10. The dealership was transparent about the salvage title from a fire, which I do appreciate. Nicholas was upfront about the nature of the damage, and I also acknowledge he did help cover minor issues early on when parts loosened during my initial drive home (AZ-CA) However, there are important negatives worth noting. The paint and bodywork quality is subpar. While it is expected that a rebuilt salvage car will not be perfect, there are visible imperfections, uneven finish, and areas where the quality of the repaint and repair work reflects a lack of attention to detail (literal primer drips on doors) If I had recognized the extent of this at purchase, I would have negotiated a lower price. The suspension the biggest bummer since i had just came off an 18’ Ford Focus ST with 90k miles and itself had suspension wear. Within days of ownership, the front struts and related components were clearly showing signs of heavier wear and soon to need replacement. My mechanic also found that some subframe bolts were not properly tightened during the rebuild, which had to be corrected. This bothered me. In addition, there is an intermittent electrical issue likely related to the original fire damage and wiring harness replacement. Occasionally, after shutting the car off, it will appear completely dead as if the battery is disconnected. In those cases, I have to access the battery area under the hood and adjust/wiggle the wiring connection before it will restart. Truth is that after I found those pictures of the car being identified in race numbers I knew I had to accept the fact that all the underlying issues of where and tear our direct reflection of track use as the first owner upgraded and tracked it for 4500 miles. Simply put the lack of transparency or awareness cost that star . At the end of the day, I probably paid slightly more than I should have ($27,000), but I still genuinely enjoy the car. It’s been reliable in the ways that matter most and is extremely fun to drive. I would just strongly recommend a very thorough inspection before purchasing anything similar from this dealership.

Super clean, low miles, no weird issues. Even with my credit not being the best, they still helped me get approved and made the whole process way easier than I expected. No pressure, no weird sales vibes—just good people. After I bought the car, I had an issue with the axle come up. I thought it was gonna be a whole thing, but they were really cool about it and ended up replacing the entire axle for me. It was good price of mind knowing that they were willing to help and make sure the car was good since I had just got it. They also have a super lovable dog who will comfort you along the way. Honestly, if you’re trying to get a solid car from people who actually care, check them out. They got you.

  This company is amazing to work with. The owner, Nick, is by far, one of the best dealers around. He works with anyone, any situation and goes above and beyond to help you.
