AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! I honestly don’t believe this vehicle was properly inspected before it was sold. Mac assured me the car was in great condition and heavily pushed this particular vehicle. 6/8 – I took the car to Firestone for a tire check and a full inspection. When I brought the report back to Mac, the salesperson, he was extremely dismissive and claimed the shop was just trying to upsell me and rip me off. (Oh, the irony.) After I pointed out that there were serious issues, including both tie rods needing replacement, he finally agreed to squeeze me in the following week. 6/12 – Just a few days later, while driving home, a tie rod failed. The car immediately started shaking and swerving as I tried to pull over into a nearby parking lot. Thank goodness I wasn’t on the freeway doing 70 mph during rush hour. When I attempted to return the car, Mac refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the seriousness of selling a vehicle in this condition. He told my mom and me that we were stuck with the car because we signed a contract and that “he was the bank.” Beyond the terrible sales experience and customer service, the real concern is how many other vehicles may have been rushed out for sale without being properly inspected. I have also included a photo and video (on yelp) of the incident, which occurred while the vehicle was being driven. This happened only days after I provided the dealership with an inspection report identifying steering and suspension concerns and was told the shop was simply trying to upsell repairs. I was fortunate that nobody was injured. The next customer might not be so lucky.
I purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe from Fair Exchange Auto Sales on March 10, 2026. Months later, I still have not received the paperwork necessary to obtain clear title and register the vehicle. The vehicle also experienced major mechanical issues shortly after purchase and it remains at the dealership. I have filed complaints with the Arizona Attorney General and ADOT and encourage potential buyers to thoroughly verify title status before purchasing.
Last week I was in a terrible accident that I was able to walk away from by my vehicle was totaled. We’ve had some struggles so getting a new vehicle wasn’t going to be easy. I walked into Fair Exchange and told them what I wanted and I got exactly that. They were nice, quick and easy to work with.
