  • Update: So after a day or 2 of having the car, it had several issues. Issues less than 24hrs after buying: Check engine light on, started overheating @ a drive thru & A/C started blowing warm. Being that it's an older car, I didn't expect perfect. But there have been issues that continued to trip the check engine light& further required my car to be serviced MULTIPLE times since buying it on 7/3/23. Luckily, IMD Motors has been kind enough to work with me & ATTEMPT to get the major issues taken care of. There are still issues, & the main guy that sold me the car at IMD seems to have put me on the back burner when I mention the car is still idling ROUGH. They are still supposed to replace the oil level sensor but when I asked about it, I was told that the part is on back order. They are also still supposed to fix the front bumper, passenger side. It's missing the clips. I've asked if the clips have been ordered on more than one occasion, I was told they'd take care of it. They have yet to update me about this. I also asked if they'd email me documentation of all the work they'd  done & all the parts they replaced, for my own records. I requested this over a text & I was told "I got you"... I still haven't received this. So here is a list of the things that have been "replaced": In the contract at the time of the sale: 2 NEW tires, 4 wheel alignment. I received 2 USED tires. The salesman even left the receipt from the tire shop (along with a half empty redbull can) in my cup holder. I don't know that an alignment was done; it still pulls to the right & shakes/vibrates quite a bit, especially at higher speeds. Not included in the contract at the time of sale, however I'm still giving 4stars (not less) b/c they've been gracious enough to work with me even though I purchased "as-is": 4 new brake rotors&pads, but after closer inspection - they didn't replace all 4. They only replaced the front 2 rotors. The front 2 rotors are obviously new (no rust) & the rear 2 rotors are the same old rusty ones that were on the car before the "brake job". I'm uncertain if the rear pads were replaced, but rear rotors didn't get replaced. Throttle body replaced. 2 of the 3 catalytic converters replaced. They didn't replace the 3rd b/c "the 3rd one wasn't throwing a code for the check engine light." But if the other 2 are bad, likely the 3rd is also on its way out. The car is over 15yrs old. I think the previous owner didn't keep up with the proper maintenance, & it wouldn't shock me if they used regular unleaded fuel every time they gassed. (Premium recommended, but not required.) & although my car is running a little better since they replaced the throttle body & 2 catalytic converters, it's still not running as it should. YES, I ALWAYS USE PREMIUM FUEL. The RPMs surge quite a bit, especially when I apply my brakes to slowly come to a stop: The RPMs surge up, making the car accelerate WHILE I'm trying to brake. That's dangerous - ESPECIALLY in traffic. On the contrary, when I try to speed up, the RPMs surge up like I'm revving my engine, but the power behind the attempted acceleration is lacking, or feels delayed. Sluggish, at best. It's like the gas pedal IS working&the RPMs go up, but the fuel isn't fully making its way into the engine. There's delayed communication between gas pedal&engine. Then, if I'm cruising at a steady speed (city driving, around 25-45mph) & I take my foot off the gas W/O touching the brake, the entire car will jolt forward, as if I lightly tapped the brake pedal. When it's really bad, the car will start to jolt/jerk back & forth when I let off the gas W/O touching brakes depending on the speed/gear I'm in. There's also this awful knocking sound coming from the passenger side (can't tell if it's the front or back) when I apply my brakes. The sound slows down as I brake/slow down. This shouldn't be an issue if they did a FULL brake job like they claimed? Not just 2. Original review: Great purchase so far, car is good and reliable. NO HASSLE, professional customer service! Purchased a 2007 Acura MDX.

  • Shane and the staff were great! I made an out of state purchase, the vehicle was as promised, maintenance done as expected. Honest from the beginning. Easy process, even picked me up from the airport. I will definitely shop here again.
