We drove out about an hour and a half to come look at a Toyota Venza this dealer had. Almost immediately got a good impression from the husband and wife that run the show, they offered a test drive and to take our time looking over the car. After a carful look around the car, went in to discuss business where I was pleasantly surprised by how transparent the dealer was. Even as far as the team addressing concerns I had right then and there before I bought the car and took it home. They handled all of the paperwork and registration with no issues. Days later after driving it around a bit, I discovered a couple of issues I missed and had turned it over to a local mechanic. I had called the husband and wife back and told them the situation and they were more than willing to help me out with the cost of repairs under the 30 day warranty.
I moved to Florida and went on Craigslist looking for a used car. Suncoast Quality Cars had several convertibles, which I was seeking. I ended up buying one, and the tire sensor light was not on during the test drive, but upon paying for the car and driving it out of the lot, it was on. Glessy said it just needed air and would go out on the ride home. But it did not. I brought car to a tire shop, they showed me plugs in one tire, and not matching tires, on top of an oil leak in the engine. Suncoast response was to call me and the mechanic a "liar" but "as is" sales can be voided in 72 hours, and this was that. They continued to insult me and blame me, also saying car had no oil leak, nor any tires faulty, when I watched them come off my car. Other things were wrong with car, and Suncoast was hiding them which is not legal. I would not ever send anyone to this dealer. Make sure to get an inspection PRIOR to purchase. They have a full lot but they lawfully have to reveal engine and tire issues prior to selling cars and do not do that. We have more than 20 photos of what the mechanic found. Shocking. They bribe their customers with a free oil change for a 5 star review, that is why they maintain their false score. Make sure to look at the real reviews and the complaints at the BBB. I had to file a complaint because the fraud that happened to sell me a car with thousands needed in repairs is just how they do business and then they try to scam you to pay the repairs that they should have disclosed prior to purchase. It's fraud to hide flaws in a car sale. Used car does not mean broken car, it means someone else owned it. I believe these people con many of their customers. Read the response from the owner. They do not have an "on site" mechanic - otherwise they would never put out any car like this. They are in business w/ local businesses that do their work. FYI A Toyota 6 cylinder engine typically needs an oil gasket change after 140K miles. My car had 139 miles on it at sale point. That leak in my driveway was the day I brought home the car. They sold it knowing it was leaking oil And it has leaked all over the engine for a while. In Clearwater, Largo and surrounding areas, there are only a handful of mechanics that can replace an oil gasket. It's an all day job to take apart the engine. This car also has a host of other issues, and oil that leaked all over the timing belt. This is 100% their liability for hiding that repair work at purchase of sale. They wrote nasty texts and insulted me, and now on this review are "trying to fix things". No they are not. They expect that customers will let ill equipped mechanics do half-baked work until the warranty runs out. Otherwise they would easily give you the name of their mechanic and choose to have the work done by a reputable mechanic. They also would have "repaired" the leak prior to selling it and listing it as a good car. Tires alone are almost $700 new, installed, balanced, and a front-end alignment because this car was in an accident and wearing the tires wrong. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they owe me a refund of hiding these needed repairs at point of sale. It's not warranty, it's fraud. Don't let them bully you into paying more for your car when they hid the needed repairs.
Just got a Scion Tc that Ive been wanting for a long time. Bart was very professional and super nice. He went above and beyond to make sure I left with the car same day! Update: They added a spoiler and did a wonderful job.
