Searched through all the online listings for a Honda Accord under $8000, didn't have a CVT transmission, and ridiculously high mileage despite mileage meaning nothing to Hondas. Only found two that weren't 75 miles away from me and from dealers with good reputations. Brought my daughter to this dealer first. The boss allowed my daughter and me to take a quick test drive on that cold day. My daughter seemed to like it. We left the dealership to check another that we weren't too impressed with, so we came back. Unfortunately the boss wasn't flexible on the price, and I honestly didn't want to haggle because I took the day off so I could relax. Had him draw up the paperwork for me to take to my credit union that gave me a decent rate. Shout out to Langley Federal Credit Union. Brought the check back to the boss and signed the paperwork. My daughter drove away happy now that she was back in a car after two years, only this time its an indestructible Japanese economy car. After two months of driving, the headboard liner needs replacing. Told my daughter whenever you buy used, always have in your mind that you may be buying someone else's problem, especially when the car is a 2008 with 124,000 miles on it. Real minor issue that will cost $425 to replace, if she decides to do it. Back to the mileage. 124,000 miles on a 2008? This thing was driven just over 6000 miles per year which is crazy! Found that the A/C has a leak. Couldn't test the A/C on the day of purchase without paying someone because it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit that day. Also, no surprise given the year and mileage, but ultimately not that big of a deal since I have experience fixing the A/C on this car in my driveway. Yes. I am that guy. Three weeks ago when it got warm, I filled the system with about half a can of R134 with UV dye so I can have a look around under a black light after several weeks of use. The compressor still works and the temp on that 80 degree day was not problem since the air coming out of the vents immediately went down to 46 degrees. Again, this isn't a big deal to me because I have the tools and the talent to fix it. No, I'm not stick riding myself, just giving the facts. Overall, I feel that I got a good deal on the car. My daughter is enjoying her freedom. I'm disliking the additional debt, but we parents do what we can to help our kids, even when they are adults. To all involved at AutoPro Virginia LLC, you have my gratitude.
My daughter finally got a permit to drive so we went to get her a vehicle thats is in her budget because she will getting a job after school to pay for her first vehicle and they have the car that she wants. Everything is going great but a few days we noticed that the AC is not working then after a week they Engine light came on with a Catalytic Converter problem. I contacted them and they PROMISED that they will take care and fix the AC and then just to buy the parts and they will take care of it. We had to wait because we need to get paid in order to buy the parts but before that they tried to work on the A/C already but they failed so they said to bring it again but told them that i will just bring the car back after we got the parts for the Catalytic Converter. So when the parts cane, they tried to charge me $800 for labor!! Ok so i asked “you said that you will take care of it but why am j getting charged?” Then they cane around and said “WE WILL TAKE CARE OF THE A/C but not the Catalytic” I asked whats the breakdown of the $800 labor and they couldnt come up with the explanation of the $800. In the end they ended up saying that they will install in but it was done in 2 hrs so it blows my mind that they tried to charge me $400/hr for the Catalytic Converter. So after a fee days the AC os blowing hot air again and i EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT MY DAUGHTER HAS A BAD SKIN REACTION TO HEAT but they stopped responding. I asked the owner to call ke man to man bit no call back from them. So the next thing to do is tell all this experience to everyone what they do. I totally understand that its a used car but they promised to fix the AC and the AC went out in 2 days after driving out if the lot and the catalytic converter after less than a week. I kept all the proof of the text exchange
Omar and Sedar also helped us when they were still at Ocean Front for my very first Tundra and few years later it’s my daughters turn to get one and she picked this 2014 Nissan Sentra and we are so happy with it. I’m not getting paid for this but I just want to acknowledge honest people.
