Rafael made this entire experience exceptional. I originally came in just to look at a different car, but he took the time to really understand what I was looking for and showed me an amazing option that instantly brought me back to my early 30s. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free. We wrapped everything up quickly and I was on the road in record time. I truly appreciate his help and professionalism, and I hope he keeps me in mind when more of those one-off special cars come in!
This review is for the experience with the car after purchase. I’ll start by saying that I was happy with my experience at first. My salesman was wonderful, patient, and kind. The staff at the dealership were also friendly and professional. I believed I had gotten a great deal on the car I selected - it was meant to be a secondary fun car for me, and I knew from experience that older Mercedes can be expensive to maintain going into it. However, it appeared to be in great shape and well looked after which is extremely important in selecting any used Mercedes regardless of age. I was provided with all the re-conditioning paperwork, and they even went above and beyond to replace a missing exhaust tip to close the deal. The dealer had made a substantial investment to re-sell the car which I was happy about. After further reviewing the reconditioning documents provided, I saw that the battery was in need of replacement as well as the e-brake cable. Not a huge deal, but annoying. After two weeks of ownership and only putting about 400 miles on the car, I took the car to my trusted independent Mercedes workshop to have those two aforementioned issues repaired. I was then shocked to discover that the dealer had sold the car to me with a major oil leak coming from the front cam covers - a well known and common issue on the Mercedes M276 engine. The oil leakage appears to have been long term. I am shocked and disappointed that a reputable brand such as Fletcher Jones would sell a car needing a major repair like this without disclosing it. No mention of this oil leakage was made on any of the documents provided by them regarding the reconditioning of the car. It had just had the Mercedes Service B performed by them, so I find it hard to believe that this was simply overlooked. Now, in addition to the up front cost of the car I am having to invest another $2600 in repairs after not even two whole weeks of ownership. **Update - after a month of persistent and excessive road vibration, I finally took the car to have the tires re-balanced as my mechanic did not find any issues with the suspension. Mind you, the tires are practically new. My paperwork showed that the dealer had repaired a bent wheel - unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon further inspection I also discovered a completely different although nearly identical wheel on the front passenger side - with the tire installed BACKWARDS, no less. At least I can say the vibration is gone after buying four new rims. Buyer beware: not all that glitters is gold. Save yourself the trouble - don’t make the same mistake I did and get the vehicle you want inspected by a third party BEFORE signing on the dotted line.
0 Stars. STAY AWAY!!! I bought a used 22' Volkswagen Tiguan at ~30.5k miles. "Nate" was my salesman. Overall, in person, my experience was fine no complaints. However, any communication via texting or calling has been HORRIFIC. I never could get a text back from Nate after purchasing. He only responded when we were negotiating the final price of the car and then after that he doesn't have the professionalism or decency to ever get back when it comes to any contact outside of face to face. I wouldn't recommend him whatsoever. When talking to Nate during the buying process, I had requested that Fletcher Jones finish the 30k mile maintenance recommendations (the car was sold to me at ~30.5k miles) which include a few fluid changes like the brake fluid and AWD clutch fluid among others. I made the mistake of taking his positive reassurance that it would be done instead of getting it in writing. It never was done no matter how many times I called and then talked to the sales manager "CJ". The reason was because their service department deemed it not necessary and they did everything they needed to do to legally sell the car. The usual excuses and trying to get out of it BS. A few months ago, I had my check engine light come up. It would stay on for a few days and then disappear. Ironically, it starts popping up right along the time my Volkswagen manufacturer warranty expires. I tried to call the service department multiple times but no one ever picks up and no one ever responds to a voicemail. Tried contacting my salesman "Nate" but he never responds. I'm very busy with school and work so I was unable to consistently follow up to the point I normally would like to. 2 weeks ago, my battery is having problems and I have to jump my car. Drove fine for a few days and then car would't start. I jump it again thinking battery might be gone but then Autozone checks it out and says the battery and alternator are fine. I have no idea what could be wrong and try to call the dealership again to see if they could check their records and Carfax to see when the battery was last replaced. I never get a call back and despite speaking to the sales manager, "CJ" again and then his supervisor, "Alex', I haven't gotten any progress in this dilemma. Both men stress that I did not buy their overpriced "extended warranty" and that they cannot help me. Tell me they'll call me back and then never do as expected. Did I mention 6 months after driving for 3-4k Discount Tire is telling me my tires should be replaced very soon? Yes, I'm aware they're a tire shop and eager to earn my business but it's the job of a salesman to honestly tell the client if the tires are likely needing to be changed soon versus "tires are fine/should be good for awhile/service dept said they meet the standards" jargon. So, in summary, I have to get my check engine light looked at, a potential new battery or worse, change the fluids that were supposed to be done before purchasing the car according to the manual at 30k, and likely new tires very soon. All within 12 months of buying the car and only driving it barely 6.2k miles. Odometer is just above 36.7K. I realize this is a used car, but it's hard not to feel completely duped. Likely looking at upwards of a a grand even before the tires. I felt comfortable purchasing a low mileage fairly new vehicle from Fletcher Jones Imports because their Dealerships are with Mercedes. You would think a higher end dealership treats their customers a little better or at least has the courtesy, decency, and professionalism to give you a call/text back or at least take your concerns seriously and coming up with some sort of solution or plan of action. If they have treated me so poorly, I can't imagine how they treat their Mercedes customers!! Take your business elsewhere, there's much better places deserving of it.
