  • Bought a 2000 Jaguar XK8 in June. I flew down to see it and agreed to the pre-negotiated price. I had a couple of requests prior to delivery, including checking the battery (having had several Jags, I know how expensive they can be and wanted some assurance it was in good shape). Howard called a few days later and said on inspection the coolant reservoir needed to be replaced, on them. The car was delivered by early July. By October, the car would no longer start and the engine light was on. End result - Battery was bad, coolant reservoir hadn’t been replaced and throttle position sensor relays needed to be replaced (service bulletin on it) - total $3,200. I reached out and unfortunately Howard was not available due to illness. As a result, I have emailed and talked with Howard numerous times over several months, to no avail. Each time he needed to “follow up” or states that the battery should have been under warranty (normally probably true, but AAA would not honor) and I specifically asked that it be checked beforehand. I have been very patient, supplied all the documentation, and am just looking for things to be made right.
