Sam and John made this car buying experience painless. I bought my previous car at from a big name dealership and it was miserable. Buying from Carisma was completely different. I didn’t feel pressured, I was quoted a very realistic out-the-door price, their maintainer fixed a trunk gasket on the spot, and the paperwork was very quick. I didn’t feel pressured come in with a loan from my personal bank so I can’t attest to their financing; however, the warranties they offer for purchase are fair. I’ll update this review in a few months, but for now I would buy from Carisma again.
If I could give zero stars, I would. From the beginning, this process has been frustrating. Initially, the service was decent when I dealt directly with the owner. However, my experience took a significant turn when I began working with an employee named Can. I received a text from Can stating that my veteran license plates had arrived and that the total due would be $434.15. I responded by asking how that amount was possible when the DMV had previously quoted me approximately $135 for a second set of Veteran plates. Rather than explaining the charges professionally, someone else saying they were the mechanic repeatedly interrupted me during our conversation. What made the situation even more concerning was his behavior toward me as a customer. During our discussion, he questioned my IQ and asked whether I would speak to my mother the way I was speaking to him. While I admit I became frustrated and used profanity within my sentences, I never personally insulted him or called him names. There is a difference between expressing frustration and verbally attacking someone. The conversation became increasingly inappropriate when began imposing his religious beliefs on me, telling me not to take God’s name in vain. He has no knowledge of my personal beliefs, faith, or life circumstances, and those comments were completely unprofessional and irrelevant to the issue at hand. I then requested to speak with a manager, but that request was refused. Instead, I was told that using profanity reflected a low IQ. In over 12 years of purchasing vehicles, I have never experienced customer service like this from a dealership. To make matters worse, the vehicle itself has an unresolved issue that I previously reported. I discussed it directly with Sam, the owner, who advised me to bring the vehicle to their service department for evaluation. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience explains why the dealership’s rating is lower than many competitors. Customers deserve respectful, professional communication, especially when they are seeking clarification about charges and vehicle concerns. I would strongly encourage potential buyers to proceed with caution.
Found a vehicle on FBMP, called and talked to the owner. Confirmed the car was clean, no issues and had a carfax, owner confirmed. Drove there and the vehicle had hail damage all over it. A salesperson approached me and I inquired if it was the right vehicle because it had hail damage all over it. He proceeded to tell me it was only on the hood and I retorted that it was all over the roof and pillars as well. When I started taking photos the owner came out and stated the hail damage was being repaired on Tuesday and it was no problem. I advised that's not what the ad said and/or what was said on the phone. I the stated I didn't trust them and couldn't do business with dishonest companies and left. What a waste of time.
