Running a credit check under these circumstances is unacceptable and demonstrates a serious lack of transparency and professionalism. Because this inquiry was made without proper consent and has now negatively impacted my credit score, I will be disputing the inquiry with the credit bureaus and requesting its immediate removal. I will also be filing formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Better Business Bureau so this matter can be properly reviewed. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will pursue all available options to ensure my credit profile is corrected and to hold the parties involved accountable for the negligence displayed in this process.
