First off, I did a lot of research on the mistakes to avoid in negotiating a new car purchase. I’m a repeat buyer at this dealership, and had a pleasant experience with the sales department when I purchased my ‘23 Ioniq limited CPO. I called for Calen in Sales (my previous sales rep had left) because some friends recently had a positive experience with him. I threw caution to the winds and told Calen which car I was looking at, and that I intended to take advantage of the $10,000 discount through HMF. I also told him I had a trade-in and what I wanted for it. Calen confirmed the out-the-door price of the car I was interested in, told me the terms attached to getting the HMF $10,000 discount, and gave me a tentative trade-in figure for my ‘23 Ioniq which was very close to a recent CarMax quote I got. This all took less than 10 minutes by phone. The next day i cleaned out my car, brought my spare key fob, title, registration and my checkbook, and took the ‘26 Ioniq 5 limited for a test drive. Calen answered all my questions, showed me all the settings and new features, and even offered to get me the same vehicle in ultimate red from another dealer in their trade area. I wound up taking the digital teal one I test drove. There was a bit of a delay in getting into the finance office because of another sale just ahead of me, but that gave Calen and I more time to configure the settings, connect my phone, update my BlueLink, etc. The entire experience was friendly and transparent from start to finish. Second, the unpleasantness of buying a new car is often dealing with the finance office. Not so at Jack Carroll’s Skagit Hyundai! Isaac was friendly, efficient and thorough. He did not “hard sell”extended warranties or other products after I declined them, and thus, my experience with the finance office was no less pleasant than my experience with sales. If you’re looking for a new or used Hyundai, I recommend you give Jack Carroll’s Skagit Hyundai a call.
I loved the experience. Every employee we worked with was friendly ans took the time to explain the process. The seller listened to what I wanted and got me into the perfect car. The financial manager explained how things worked with a concern I did have. The financial and compliance officer was friendly and efficient. Hyundai has one of the best warranty programs then any other dealership I've been too. All around great experience and we will be back!
