  Not worth going to. I live on the Big Island and recently purchased a car from them. I paid the deposit over the phone and completed the purchase in person — no drama, no haggling, very straightforward deal. I only had one simple request: please wash the car before delivery. I don’t think that’s unreasonable when buying a vehicle. They clearly agreed and even told me that every car is cleaned before delivery. I was told multiple times, “don’t worry, we take care of that — just complete the payment.” When I picked up the car, it was obvious nothing had been cleaned at all. The exterior was covered in dried water spots, and the interior had grass and dirt inside. It looked like it had been sitting untouched. It honestly felt like once they knew I was coming from the Big Island, they assumed I wouldn’t come back to complain. That’s not how a professional business should operate. When a company focuses more on whether they can get away with cutting corners instead of delivering basic promised service, it’s a waste of the customer’s time. I can’t recommend them.

  My overall recent experience purchasing a new car at Cutter Mazda was positive. Shopping for a car at a dealership is definitely not one of my favorite things to do. Other reviewers are correct in that the process takes hours. Nevertheless, sales representative John Kim, whose lighthearted nature, humor and respectful mannerisms, made the experience less stressful. He seemed to understand our needs and was patient with us as we asked many questions and took a long time to decide on a car. Encounters with the finance managers were also actually pleasant. Thank you to the Cutter Mazda team who helped us.
