History: Established in 1980, Yosh Mataga and a partner opened an Oldsmobile Buick Dealership in Lodi on the corner of Lodi Ave. and Sacramento St. in November of 1980. In 1985 Yosh became full owner and two years later moved Mataga Olds Buick to Beckman Rd in Lodi. He purchased Mataga of Stockton located in the Stockton Auto Mall in 1995 and has been joined by his two daughters, Kathryn and Carolyn. Working together as a team with wonderful employees, it is our goal to give the best customer service possible and to make your experience with us great each and every time. Bio: Yosh started out working at a local grocery store in the produce department. Being young and starting a family of his own, he later decided to further his education and go into computer programming. Yosh got an office job helping with the computers and accounting for an auto dealership in the Los Angeles area. The Sales Manager of the dealership saw that Yosh was an intelligent, hard working person so he asked Yosh to become partners with him in a new business venture. The idea was to purchase a new Oldsmobile Buick dealership in the Central Valley of California. With a wife and two young daughters, this decision was a big leap of faith but Yosh decided that he would take the risk and put his best foot forward. Over 30 years later, Yosh is still in the automotive industry going strong, continuing to put his best foot forward, passing along his knowledge to his daughters and those around him.
