We had an amazing experience with the Findlay Honda team, especially Obi. We came in with a pretty worn-down Acura and were pleasantly surprised by how generous they were with our trade-in toward our new Civic. When a couple of hiccups came up, Obi went above and beyond to make things right and kept us informed every step of the way, his communication and professionalism truly stood out. We were originally referred by my parents, and after this experience, I’ve already referred others as well. This car was for my husband, and the entire process was nothing but positive. I personally can’t wait to get out of my Tesla lease and switch over to Honda for myself. Highly recommend Findlay Honda and Obi if you’re looking for a smooth, trustworthy car-buying experience!
I want to preface this review with our salesman Mike, was a very nice guy who was not at fault at all for the things that went wrong. If Mike moved dealerships we would have moved with him. Mike gets 5 stars from us, it’s a shame a talented and charismatic salesperson is forced to deal with such disorganization. Mike was great and I appreciated him a lot, but please dude if you read this take your skills to a different dealership that has it together. This is crazy, this is buy-here-pay-here bull. Everything else about our experience was garbage. Especially the actual negotiation. We came to trade our 2016 sonata for a 2016 CRV. Initially we looked at 2 others only to be told they were sold and not available and we found a 3rd that we really liked, a 2016 CRV Touring trim. It wasn’t ready due to the reconditioning process, they said it would be ready Tuesday (we went in on a Saturday) which was fine, if there was some actual communication about the process and what would be done to the car without asking specific questions. The actual negotiation happened mainly with the floor manager or something. First of all, I just want to say that, you probably shouldn’t sit right across from a pregnant woman and talk about how much your wife and daughter like to swipe your credit card and that’s why my husband is lucky we are having a boy . It’s super misogynistic and offensive. It put a bad taste in my mouth the moment we met. Especially when I was the main signer on a loan because I have better credit AND am paying the down payment from an account that my husband doesn’t touch. Save that kind of talk for the bar with your buddies and not in front of a female customer. Secondly, when you have me sign a piece of paper that says we got approved for a certain payment amount and a certain number of months, you shouldn’t wait until almost a WEEK LATER when we are picking up the car and I’ve ALREADY PAID 1600 DOLLARS to tell us our payments jumped 90 dollars because we couldn’t get approved for a 84 month loan THAT YOU HAD US SIGN, leave, and then come back again, almost a week later. Then to have the absolute audacity to ask why I’m pissed off after again, I was dragged out of the house for another 2 hours of negotiations and finance department horse crap, no duh I was pissed off, you basically bait and switched us and waited until you already had the keys for our trade in and everything from our trade in was MOVED OVER to the car we put a down payment on 5 days prior. David did not communicate at all about the reconditioning and told us to go home on Saturday and the “finance department would be in contact” (spoiler, they never were) which resulted in my husband being called and told to come pick up the car, drive down there and find out that we have to resign/sign everything, only to be sat down, and told that our payment jumped 90 dollars because the finance department wanted to go home on time and couldn't fully verify the pre-approval for a 84 month loan. To top off this experience, you told us we would get a lovely, full tank of gas upon pick up of our new vehicle as a gift from Findlay. I have a attached a picture of our “full tank of gas” Actually ridiculous I will never return and I’m extremely embarrassed that I even set foot here, -Olivia and Noah.
I had a really great experience here leasing a car doing all of the transaction remotely until the moment of pickup. Not only did they give me the best possible deal on a lease, but Jayden handled all of the details by text message, respectful of my valuable time as I hadn’t yet moved to NV.
