Description

Vintage Freeman & McFarlin #144 "Mr. Fox" ceramic figurine with a beautiful antiqued metallic gold finish. Designed by Maynard Anthony Freeman, signed "Anthony" in cursive, and dated 1970 on the base with impressed model number markings. This Mid-Century Modern (MCM) California pottery sculpture measures approximately 10 inches tall by 6 inches wide. It has a repaired left ear and a repaired left foot, shown in pictures.  The repairs appear to have been done well and the figurine displays nicely. Aside from the repaired left foot and left ear shown in the photos, I did not observe any additional chips, cracks or repairs.   This stylized fox features expressive eyes, detailed textured fur, and a graceful seated pose. It makes a wonderful display piece for collectors of Freeman & McFarlin pottery, California pottery, Mid-Century Modern décor, and vintage wildlife sculptures. Measurements:• Height: 10 inches• Width: 6 inches The last photo shows the matching #145 "Mrs. Fox" figurine, which is being sold separately.
