Ornate Chinese armchair is constructed from wood with a vibrant red lacquer finish. Likely 20th century. This piece has a traditional horseshoe-shaped backrest that curves into integrated armrests. The central back splat features three distinct carved panels, including a circular openwork design and a rectangular relief carving of a figure on horseback. Distressed lacquer finish. The seat is a flat rectangular panel supported by a straight-legged base with a simple front stretcher. Seat is 25.5" x 19.25"; Total height 43"
