1930s Antique Chinese 3 Tier Wedding Basket with Handle. Made with red toned wood and bamboo with a lacquered finish. Hand painted with decorative gilt accents. Images include tree branches, flowers and birds on the sides with the image of a young lady on the top. Often used to present gifts or food during wedding ceremonies, these baskets are both functional and decorative, showcasing fine workmanship and cultural heritage. There is a little damage on a small section above the bottom rim of the top piece as shown in the pictures. Pick up in Northwest Portland.
