A distinctive collection of four coordinating British cavalry uniform prints, illustrated by Colonel P. H. Smitherman and presented in matching gold-tone wood frames. An attractive coordinated display for a study, library, office, or collection of British military history and historical uniforms. **** Each print depicts a British cavalry uniform from a different period, spanning more than a century of military history: 1705, Trooper, 3rd Horse / 1759, Trooper, 17th Light Dragoons / 1811, Captain, 6th Dragoons / 1818, Major, 6th Dragoon Guards **** The illustrations are associated with “Cavalry Uniforms of the British Army,” published by Hugh Evelyn in London in 1962. The printing date of these particular sheets has not been independently verified. **** DETAILS: Four individually framed prints, sold together -- Matching gold giltwood frames -- Each measures 6 5/16" wide × 14" high, framed -- Printed artist credit: P. H. Smitherman -- The paper finish is waxy matte gloss across the printed sheets **** CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The 1811 Captain, 6th Dragoons print has foxing (or amber toning) on the paper, as shown in the photographs. Please review all photos for conditions. **** A distinguished piece of British military illustration history—the P. H.
