Large & Substantial Carved French Louis XV Antique 3-Piece Salon Set

Unusually substantial French Louis XV style three-piece set with large sofa and two matching armchairs, probably dating to the 1940s. Much larger and more comfortable than the typical French salon set—the sofa is genuinely big enough to stretch out and nap on. The carved wood frames are in exceptional condition and do not need refinishing. The traditional floral tapestry upholstery is also in excellent condition. The only issue we are aware of is one area of the fabric underneath the sofa that needs to be re-fastened; otherwise, the set is remarkably clean and close to immaculate. A very solid, comfortable set that's made to actually be used. I looked for YEARS before I found this one. We are downscaling so it's time for it to go to a new home. The two armchairs sit on the sofa upside down for easy transport!
