Description

Fresh out of the shop and playing great. Top of the line professional saxophone from the peak era of Conn. This particular 6m had the NY Neck option rather than the microtuner, preferred by famous players like Charlie Parker. The most famous picture of Bird shows him with the NY Neck 6m. If you're going for the "Bird sound" this is the horn to have. It has the classic Conn rolled tone holes. And unlike transitional Conns it has a NY neck and different octave mechanism. The neck was relacquered at some point, not sure why. It's recently had a full tune up including several pads replaced, and plays like a dream.
