Description
AKG C2000B Excellent condition. Very well taken care of, only used in studio situation. (Description copied from web) Quietly earned its place in serious studios while wearing the label of a “budget condenser.” The AKG C2000B is a Large diaphragm back-electret condenser manufactured in Austria. built to be accessible, yet engineered with enough intelligence and durability to handle real professional work. Over time, it became one of those microphones that simply stayed in use because it delivered, session after session. OPTICAL CONDITION Excellent condition. Extremely light signs of use, barely noticeable. From a normal viewing distance, the microphone presents as almost new. BUILD & DESIGN Solid all-metal construction with AKG’s classic Austrian manufacturing quality. The design is compact for a large diaphragm microphone, with a very robust feel. Standard XLR output, phantom-powered. Capsule Large diaphragm back-electret condenser capsule. Unlike externally polarized designs, this capsule holds a permanent charge, allowing for a simpler and more stable construction. A standout feature is the protective foam layer positioned extremely close to the diaphragm, acting as a physical barrier. This unusual design significantly improves durability and helps protect the capsule from dust and moisture over time. Circuit FET-based condenser circuit requiring 48V phantom power. Clean, efficient, and designed for reliability rather than coloration. Controls Pad: 0 / –10 dB High-pass filter: flat / low-cut Simple, practical switching for real-world recording situations.
