SAFB™ resists temperatures over 1,093ºC (2,000ºF) and can add points to STC for walls and floor-ceiling assemblies. The mineral wool composition of the SAFB helps absorb soundwaves, reducing noise transmission and soundproofing between spaces. This high-performing product is non-combustible, moisture-resistant, non-corrosive, non-deteriorating, and mould-resistant. SAFB™ can be installed in both steel stud and wood-framed construction, and is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including apartments, hotels, offices and more. Can be installed between stud cavities, floor joists, and ceiling rafters. For interior stud cavity installation, friction-fit SAFB™ securely between studs, and butt ends of blankets closely together and fill all voids. For flooring-ceiling installation, friction-fit SAFB™ securely between floor joints. For ceiling overlayment installation, lay SAFB™ over ceiling panels, extending 48" beyond all partitions. Tightly fit around all hangers, obstructions, and penetrations.
