Gibson Baldwin Epoch

The Gibson-Baldwin Epoch is a budget-friendly, Les Paul–style electric guitar produced as part of a 2007 joint venture between Gibson and Baldwin. Designed primarily for the student and school education market, it features a laminated (plywood) body, a bolt-on neck, and dual humbucker pickups. On the secondary market, these guitars typically sell in the $100 to $250 range, depending on condition and whether they include original accessories like a gig bag. While they carry the Gibson name and offer the classic Les Paul look, users on Ultimate Guitar have mixed reviews, often noting that they require a proper setup—and sometimes fret work—to play comfortably. For a close look at the anatomy of this guitar, including a review of its sound and build quality
