Description
Large, mature Deuterocohnia brevifolia (also known as Abromeitiella brevifolia or Argentine Ball) – a rare and highly sought-after terrestrial bromeliad that forms a dense, sculptural green mound of hundreds of tiny pointed rosettes. This is a substantial specimen already filling a large black nursery pot (as pictured). It has the classic tight, cushion-like growth habit that collectors love. Some natural browning/dry tips on older outer leaves is completely normal for this species and does not affect health. Native to arid regions of Argentina and Bolivia. Extremely drought-tolerant and slow-growing — these plants live for decades and can eventually form impressive multi-foot-wide colonies. CARE: • Light: Full sun to very bright light (best outdoors in mild climates or in the sunniest indoor spot) • Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Water sparingly in winter. • Soil: Fast-draining cactus/succulent mix with plenty of grit, pumice, or perlite • Hardiness: USDA zones 9b–11 (protect from hard frost) • Easy and low-maintenance once established • Local pickup huntingtonbeach – cash or zelle or Venmo OK Please message with any questions before purchasing. Thanks for looking!
