Leslie's Hardness Plus is used to raise calcium hardness in swimming pool water. Low calcium hardness causes pool water to become corrosive which can result in etched plaster, corrosion of equipment and fixtures or may cause metallic stains. The ideal range for calcium hardness in pool water is 200 to 400 ppm (parts per million). The minimum calcium hardness is 150 ppm. HOW TO USE: Add Leslie's Hardness Plus directly to pool water with pump running by broadcasting or scattering it over the water's surface. Do not predissolve or add this product to a small amount of water as heat is generated. Do not add this product immediately before or after adding Leslie's Soda Ash or Leslie's Alkalinity Up as the water may become cloudy. 1. Test water for hardness. 2. Determine the ppm increase desired by subtracting the current hardness level from the ideal or minimum level. 3. Refer to the chart for proper dosage. 4. Do not add Leslie's Hardness Plus on the same day that Leslie's Soda Ash or Leslie's Alkalinity Up has been added.
