I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Armadillo Auto Sales, owned by Todd Sanderson, and put Cash Down. Within the first day, the vehicle developed electrical issues and the transmission began jerking. I contacted Todd immediately and returned the vehicle. At that time, I was clearly told I would receive my full down payment back.

When I followed up for the refund, I was only given a portion of it, and Todd claimed he withheld the remaining amount for a “pet hair detailing fee.” I do not own any pets, and the vehicle was returned in the same condition it was sold to me. That fee was not legitimate—it was simply used as a reason to keep part of my money after the vehicle was returned due to mechanical problems.

This wasn’t handled with honesty or professionalism. The dealership refused to take responsibility for a vehicle that clearly had issues from the start, and instead tried to shift blame and keep a portion of the down payment.

I have already documented the communication and will be filing formal complaints with the Washington State Attorney General, the FTC, and proceeding with Small Claims Court to recover the remaining balance plus filing costs.

Anyone considering doing business here should be aware of how this situation was handled and make an informed decision

Update: After returning the vehicle due to mechanical issues and being told I would receive my down payment back, the dealership initially issued a partial refund. As of today, Armadillo Auto Sales and owner Todd Sanderson have reversed that refund, leaving me with none of my down payment returned.

To be clear:
•	The vehicle was returned immediately.
•	I was told my down payment would be refunded.
•	The dealership first gave back only part of it.
•	And has now pulled that refund back entirely.

This means the dealership has now kept my down payment while also having the vehicle back in their possession.
There is no justification for this, and it is now being documented and reported as fraudulent withholding of funds.

I am updating this review to ensure the public is accurately informed.

STAY AWAY. These people are sketchy and sell broken vehicles. I bought a truck and it dumped all it's power steering fluid on the drive home. Left me having trouble steering and with ineffective brakes. I came to the dealership from out of state 3 TIMES before they finally agreed to my ORIGINAL OFFER. I was furious but really wanted this specific '06 Silverado. I have had several other issues very soon after purchasing. After looking into paperwork, the wrote in that I had waved "implied warranty," which I never intended to do. They clearly knew of the issues and lied about them. I could not be more disappointed or disgusted with their slimy, dishonest behavior.

I am from Eastern Oregon .. so I was doing a lot of my looking online. I found a Nissan X-Terra Pro4 X on Car Gurus .. I inquired about their vehicle on Thursday, Mr. Husam Isbaih contacted me back directly. I made plans to go look at it . The held the vehicle for me til I got there, the vehicle was as advertised, a couple minor issues I had were addressed and taken care of. I cannot say how everyone's transactions will go, I can only speak on my dealings. And it was Top Shelf. The deal Husam quoted me OTD price was honored, and I drove home with the rig a couple hours after I got there. Mr. Husam, Mr. Gary & Mr. Bill  ... I Thank You All Gentlemen, for Your Transparency, Professionalism, And Honoring this deal. I will be back in a few years to see what's on the lot and purchase from these good folks again. To all Active, Reserve, Or Veterans out there trying to find a rig in your price range, I feel that .. I'm a Veteran as well .U.S.N. 85-91 .. These Good Folks  Honor The Armed Forces with the discount and deals  that are deserving & due to all who served honorably. Thanks again Husam, Gary, Bill. Appreciate All Your Efforts.

Great car-buying experience 2014 corolla. Husam Isbaih is a great person and friendly who helped me with all the process in buying my car. He also went beyond spending his time in switching my previous expensive insurance to cheapest one. Greatly appreciate his work . Definitely would recommend buying car at this dealership

I just purchased a 2012 Nissan Xterra there. Great experience. I live in Spokane so the distance could have made things difficult.
