1999 Hess Space Shuttle Transport and Satellite Still in the original box. The truck lights have been successfully tested and takes (2) C batteries (not included). The space shuttle has the original batteries and I did not open or test that in order to keep the original packaging intact. Please view the photos and ask any questions before bidding or purchasing. Detailed description: This truck wowed Hess Toy Truck fans! While most Hess toy trucks have their roots in reality, this was a truck fueled by imagination. The 35th anniversary model features an 18-wheel flatbed truck with removable space shuttle and satellite – all equipped with working lights and sound. The space shuttle’s functioning cargo doors retract to activate the satellite launcher. The most complex vehicle ever created by Hess. This truck took six years from concept to build. The box has a picture of the truck on both sides with a space shuttle flying in the background and a winter scene. A picture of the truck is on one end and the rear on the other end flap.
