Wonderful old galvanized metal watering can with a long spout and large perforated sprinkler rose. This piece has a beautifully aged gray surface with oxidation, wear and patina throughout. An especially unusual feature is the rounded bottom. The can does not sit completely flat on a hard surface, which appears to be part of its original construction rather than damage. Features a large carrying handle, side handle, long reinforced spout and removable-style sprinkler rose. Measurements: • Can body: approximately 10” high, excluding handle • Diameter: approximately 9” • Spout: approximately 13” long Vintage condition with considerable age-related surface wear, oxidation, discoloration and rust, particularly inside and around the sprinkler rose. Please examine photos carefully as they are an important part of the description. No maker’s mark has been found. Exact age and origin are unknown. A terrific decorative piece for a farmhouse, garden room, greenhouse, porch or collection of antique garden tools.
