Japanese Vintage Otafuku Ceramic Statue (Shunga / Secret Bottom) - $59 OBO (Or Best Offer)

For sale is a unique and rare piece of Japanese cultural art. At first glance, this is a beautiful vintage ceramic statue of Otafuku (also known as Okame), the traditional Japanese goddess of mirth who brings good fortune, health, and happiness with her iconic cheerful smile and dimpled cheeks. However, this piece holds a classic hidden surprise rooted in Japan's historic Shunga (erotic art) tradition. The bottom of the statue features a very detailed and finely crafted hidden depiction of female anatomy. In Japanese history, these types of "secret" statues were highly collectible. They were traditionally given as wedding gifts to brides for bedroom education, or kept by merchants and households as a lucky charm (Mayoke) to ward off evil spirits and protect against fires. ⚠️ NOTE ON PHOTOS: Due to Facebook's strict community guidelines regarding censorship, I cannot post the photos of the bottom details here. If you are a serious buyer and would like to see the detailed photos of the bottom, please send me a message (DM). I will gladly share them with you privately. • Condition: Vintage, overall good condition with great color and character. • Price: $59 OBO (Or Best Offer)
