The YouTube woodworker Stene Woodwork popularized a custom aftermarket upgrade - originally known as the Stenetent or Stene Detent Plate - designed to fix the soft factory aluminum detent wear issue on Makita sliding miter saws. This original Stene product is designed to fit all of Makita's 10-inch and 12-inch "rail-forward" (front-rail) sliding compound miter saws. Because Makita utilizes the exact same base chassis dimensions across these configurations, the single upgrade plate seamlessly fits both corded and cordless models. Confirmed Compatible Models The plate is a direct drop-in replacement for the following official Makita model numbers: • Corded 10" & 12" Models: LS1019, LS1019L, LS1219, LS1219L • Cordless 18V X2 (36V) LXT Models: XSL04, XSL06, XSL06PT, DLS110, DLS111, DLS211 • Cordless 40V Max XGT Models: The newer XGT 10" and 12" rail-forward models. Note: It will not fit older Makita saws that use the traditional rear-extending dual rails (such as the LS1013 or LS1016), nor will it fit smaller compact saws like the 7.5" or 8.5" models.
