Brown Turkey has always been a staple fig for the Pacific Northwest, bearing 2 crops each summer: an early breba crop on last year’s growth and a bigger 2nd crop late summer into fall. The low maintenance tree grows 10-15 feet in about any type of soil. It also does well in containers (shelter over hard winters if you are in a cold climate area). Here on the farm they have thrived unattended in the ground during these past 5 winters and borne excellent crops. Brown Turkey is one of the most popular figs grown in America.
