1944 WWll Hybrid U.S. Army / Air Force Jacket with Cap in Pristine Condition . This Jacket is 81 years old per stitched label in one of 2 inside pockets. Size 36 R / designed May 1944 and made just 5 Month April 1945 before WW ll ended in September 1945. In 1943 4 years after the war began they needed copper to make shell casings for artillary and all pennies were made of steel to meet copper demand. I will include a lot of 3 steel 1943 Lincoln wheat pennies P D & S mint with your purchase of this historical pristine jacket / cap that will be a great addition to your Military collection. My Grandfather was Secretary of Transportation for the U.S. Army during WW ll and several other relatives my Father served in the Navy and Cousin in the Marines and Coast Guard. On my Mothers side my Grandfather worked for the Army Corp of Engineers that built the Alaskan Highway and one of her brothers was killed in action during WW ll.
