Description

For sale is a combo of the Clicks Keyboard case for Apple iPhone 16 Plus. These retail for $159 new each. This combo lot includes 1 great condition case with box & paperwork, as well as 1 fair condition case that works but I would consider it for "spare parts" (explained below, and shown in photos 7-11). The first case works great, no issues, never been disassembled. About the second, "spare parts" case: I wanted to use this case with an Android phone that was very close in dimensions to the iPhone 16 Plus. However, in its original out-of-the-box state, the USB-C plug of the case wouldn't reach far enough into the port of that Android phone and therefore wouldn't connect to it. So I cut a bit of the "USB-C daughterboard" (photos 9-11) in order for it to stick out higher than it did originally, far enough for it to connect. This worked, but I didn't do the best cutting job (removed just a bit too much material) which means that the daughterboard can move downwards if the phone isn't carefully inserted into the case (where the phone would be pushing down on the connector instead of seamlessly inserting into it). This caused disconnection between the Android phone and the case, needing me to open up the case again in order to push the connector back up and find some way to make it stay up. Anyway, with the iPhone this case was actually designed for, the USB-C connector doesn't need to stick out as high as it does for an Android phone. If you use it as intended, you should be fine. And worse case, if the daughterboard gets moved down, you can pop off the back cover, unscrew the 8 little philips head screws to remove the plate, and then push the daughterboard back up and secure it in that position in some way. One of the screw holes meant for the right side screw of the daughterboard broke off inside the hole so it's not coming out. You can try using glue or double sided tape or other DIY methods to keep that daughterboard USB-C connector up where it needs to be, and it shouldn't give you any issues, I used it for some time that way. Selling as I moved to another Clicks keyboard case/phone combo. Please message if you have any questions.
