Henriot Quimper vintage set.. all have the markings. We have 578, 175. The pottery adopted its name from the town of Quimper where potter Jean Baptiste Bousquet built his kilns in the Quimper area of Locmaria in 1690 and was given a royal manufacturing license by King Louis XIV. Henriot Quimper is a historic French faience (tin-glazed pottery) brand from Quimper, Brittany, with roots dating back to the late 17th century, officially established as a distinct firm by Guillaume Dumaine in 1778. Known for hand-painted Breton peasant figures and floral designs, the company merged with rival HB in 1968
