Kawai K-15 Upright Piano in polished ebony with full 88-key keyboard and three pedals: Hand-Selected for Exceptional Sound

This is a beautiful Kawai K-15 upright piano, and it was chosen with unusual care. We spent nearly seven months searching for the best-sounding piano we could find. Together with our piano teacher and other piano experts, we tried more than 70 pianos (old, used, and new, from many brands) in homes and piano stores across Tacoma, Bellevue, and Seattle. Along the way we learned something surprising: no two Kawai pianos sound alike, even when they’re the same model. So when we finally played this one at a Seattle piano store, we knew right away. It had the richest, deepest sound we had ever heard. Unfortunately, after we bought it, no one in our family kept playing. It has been tuned once by the store’s specialist and has been waiting quietly for a new player ever since. That’s the only reason we’re selling. Condition • Keys and cabinet in excellent condition, with no visible damage or discoloration • Lightly played since purchase • Includes a matching black bench Details • Full 88-key keyboard, three pedals • Polished ebony finish • Dimensions about: 58.25" W × 43.5" H × 24" D (depth measured at the keys) Why the Kawai K-15? The K-15 is one of Kawai’s most popular uprights: compact enough for any home, yet with the sound and touch of a serious instrument. It’s a great fit for beginners and experienced players alike. • Solid spruce soundboard: produces a warm, resonant tone with wide dynamic range • Responsive, durable action: Kawai’s ABS-Styran action parts resist humidity and wear, keeping the touch smooth and consistent for years, which matters in the Pacific Northwest • Expressive control: the action design gives precise, responsive touch, ideal for students building technique • Warm, balanced tone: rounder and mellower than the brighter sound many uprights have, so it suits classical, jazz, and pop equally well Come play it yourself. Hearing is believing, and you’re welcome to try it before you buy.
