Description
1931 Ford Model A Closed Cab Pickup: Original Inline-4, Garage Kept 40 Years This 1931 Ford Model A closed cab pickup has been in the same family for going on 50 years - inherited from my father's father, who traded another Model A to acquire it. It's been garage-kept the entire time, never left outdoors, which is a big part of why it's still in such honest, original condition today. All-original inline-4 engine, original paint, original interior. Clean title in hand, VIN/data plate intact. Started and driven as recently as August 28, 2026 - runs and drives well. 3-speed manual transmission. Electrical system upgraded from 6V to 8V for easier starting - a common, reversible Model A owner improvement. Battery recently replaced. Tires are newer-style period-correct replacements (Goodyear, 4.75/5.00-19); exact age unknown, recommend inspection before highway driving. Closed cab pickups like this one are less commonly found surviving in original condition compared to sedans and coupes, since they were used as work trucks. This one has never been restored or repainted - what you see is 90+ years of history. Odometer shows 300 miles due to Facebook's minimum entry requirement, but this is not accurate - the speedometer is not functional/hasn't been verified. Actual lifetime mileage is unknown. What we do know: the truck has not been driven more than approximately 100 miles in the last 50 years, based on family history. Small hole in floorboard, believed to be from rodent activity - visible and easy to inspect in person. Comes with a Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook (Les Andrews) for reference. Located in Valparaiso, IN. Cash or verified funds, local pickup only (no shipping). Serious inquiries only, please. (contact info removed)
