Description
This is a cast pewter set stamped with a B with a circle around it and a dot to the right of the B. The large plates have lots of knife marks on them so they have been used but I do not know if they are safe to eat off of. If they are traditional 18th century pewter then they contain lead. If they are a high quality cast replica made from aluminum and they are safe. I can't figure it out. According to Gemini it is some kind of 18th century set. The mugs have cast marks inside they are very heavy so they are not modern replicas unless they were cast. When I first showed it to Gemini it told me that this was a high quality cast aluminum set made by Wilton. The bowl and mugs match the Wilton plough Tavern set however all of the Wilton pieces have a stamp on them that says Wilton. I told that to Gemini and then Gemini said that if they don't have any Wilton marking then they are absolutely not Wilton pieces. So I do believe these are authentic and not safe to eat on Just for display.
