Recently purchased Skutt wheel. Production delays took it about 6 months to arrive. I have since joined a studio and enjoy throwing there more than at home. I have only used it twice. New condition! Skutt's newest series of removable splash pan wheels feature thick cast pans that are large enough and strong enough to hold a full pan of trimmings without coming apart. The clean design of these wheels allows for easier lifting of the wheel head and easier pan removal. In addition, the clay collection area is much larger than most two-piece and round pan models.All models feature a durable powder-coated aluminum frame, a continual-duty motor, a 14" twist-and-lift cast aluminum removable wheel head with 10" bat pins, and a reversing switch for changing wheel head direction. Other features include a heavy-duty cast aluminum foot pedal, oversized legs for stability while throwing, and a six-groove drive belt for smooth, quiet, powerful performance.Also included is Skutt's industrial-grade SCR motor controller that controls minimum and maximum speeds, senses feedback from the motor, and provides constant torque through all speed ranges.The Thomas Stuart Legend Pottery Wheel was created to provide power and professional performance at an affordable price.
